Biker killed, two injured in Kulgam road accident

A bike rider was killed and two others injured when they met with an accident in the Khuri Batpora (K B Pora) area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday evening, locals said.

A local said, a motorcycle was hit by a speedy vehicle in K B Pora village resulting in injuries to three people. They were rushed to a nearby hospital.

“The injured were taken to District Hospital Kulgam, where two among them were referred to SKIMS for specialized treatment. However, one among them has lost his life,” he said.

The killed person has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq Malik, son of Abdul Rashid Malik. The other two injured persons have been identified as Bashir Ahmad son of Abdul Ganie and Mushtaq Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Qadir Malik, all of them were from Khuri Batpora.
