Anantnag, June 23: Bijbehara town of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district is facing a severe water crisis, with the residents criticising the administration over the issue.
Mushtaq Ahmed, a local said despite assurances from the Xen PHE and EE PHE officials, the water supply situation has worsened over the past fifteen days. “We appeal to the administration to restore the water supply,” he said.
Hilal Ahmad from New Colony said the administration must investigate and address the root cause of the problem.
AEE PHE Bijbehara Zahoor Ahmad said, “People residing in the adjacent areas of Bijbehara misuse water for their gardens, etc. I accept the pressure of water supply in the day time is very low and during the night it somehow increases. The issue will be resolved soon.”
