Bhalla leads Congress workers’ protest against Doda terror attack

Jammu, July 16: The District Congress Committee Jammu Urban staged a protest on Tuesday against the recent terror attack in Doda district and a series of other attacks in the Jammu region that have resulted in casualties among our jawans.

Led by Working President Raman Bhalla, along with District President Manmohan Singh and other senior leaders, Congress workers expressed solidarity with the martyrs and their families. They raised slogans in support of the army and security forces while strongly denouncing terrorism.

Carrying placards reading “Shaheed Jawan Amar Rahe”, “Our Forces Zindabad”, and “Atankwad Band Karo”, the protestors gathered outside the PCC Headquarters at Shahidi Chowk, raising impassioned slogans. They questioned the BJP government’s perceived failure to address the increase in terrorism in the Jammu region and voiced grave concern over the escalating situation. The protestors highlighted the public’s anger over the surge in terror activities and demanded decisive action.

Senior Vice President Ravinder Sharma, Vice Presidents Yogesh Sawhney, Ved Mahajan, Rajnish Sharma, General Secretaries Narinder Gupta (org), Amrit Bali, PCC Secretary Dwarka Choudhary, Congress Seva Dal Chief Vijay Sharma, Bano Mahajan (Mahila Congress), Sandeep Dogra (OBC), Nasir Masih (Minority), Ricky Dalotra I/C HQ PYC, along with DCC Office Bearers Ram Prakash Magotra, Sat Pal Sapolia, Rakesh Sharma, and others participated in the protest.

Earlier, a meeting of the District Congress Committee Jammu Urban, chaired by Th Manmohan Singh was held at the PCC HQ where heartfelt tributes were paid to the martyred soldiers of the recent attacks.

Addressing the gathering, Raman Bhalla reiterated the Congress party’s unwavering support for the armed forces in their fight against terrorism. He expressed deep concern and anger over the increasing frequency of terror attacks, calling for firm action from the government to tackle terrorism emanating from Pakistan.
