Bhalla flags off Shoba Yatra on eve of Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti

Jammu, Feb 22: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Provincial President, Raman Bhalla on Thursday flagged off a Shobha Yatra on the eve of Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti here. A large number of people, including men, women, and children from different parts of the Jammu region, participated in the yatra organized by Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Krishna Nagar. 
Raman Bhalla, a former minister, was accompanied by Guru Ravi Dass Sabha President JKUT Perra Ditta. Attired in colourful costumes, the devotees sang bhajans and danced to the tune of drums, praising Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj. The Shobha Yatra commenced from Guru Ravi Dass Temple, Krishna Nagar, passing through Jewel Chowk, Bhagat Singh Chowk, J P Chowk, Indira Chowk, Shalamar Chowk, City Chowk, Raghunath Bazar, Gurudwara Sunder Singh Road, Vivekananda Chowk, Prem Nagar, and culminated at Bahu Fort. 
In his address, Bhalla congratulated the people and emphasized the relevance of Guru Ji’s message of love, brotherhood, and equality in today’s society. He urged everyone to embody the spirit of love, compassion, peace, and harmony advocated by great saints and seers, stating that striving for social justice and equality would be the best tribute to Guru Ravi Dassji. The Congress leader expressed hope that the life and teachings of Guru Ravi Dassji would continue to inspire humanity to work for the betterment of all, irrespective of caste, creed, and colour. He stressed the society’s responsibility to uplift marginalized segments and ensure equal opportunities for growth and progress. 
The JKPCC leader highlighted the importance of sustaining and strengthening the glorious heritage of inclusiveness by spreading the divine message of righteousness. He emphasized that the spirit of humanism could guide society to overcome hate and animosity, essential for creating a better world. Bhalla praised Guruji’s role in promoting honour and dignity for all segments of society, particularly during times of caste-based discrimination. He underscored the significance of Guruji’s teachings in addressing contemporary challenges related to social justice and equitable opportunities. 
Paying tribute to Guru Ravi Dassji, Bhalla urged everyone to pledge to follow his teachings and strive for a society based on principles of social justice, equality, compassion, love, and togetherness.
