Beerwah, April 27: The president of the Beerwah Bar Association has demanded the construction of a new court building, citing inadequate infrastructure and the need for improved judicial facilities to better serve litigants and legal professionals in the area.
Addressing members of the press and the legal fraternity, Rather highlighted the long-standing neglect of judicial infrastructure in Beerwah, an important sub-division.
He pointed out that the absence of a proper court complex has caused significant hardship to lawyers, litigants, and the general public. Court proceedings are currently being conducted in inadequate spaces lacking basic facilities, which adversely affects the delivery of justice.
Raising a strong demand, the Bar Association President called for the immediate construction of a modern, fully equipped court complex in Beerwah. He emphasized that proper infrastructure is essential for ensuring fair and timely justice and cannot be treated as a luxury.
Rather stressed the urgent need for the establishment of an Additional District Judge Court in the sub-division, citing the growing population and increasing number of cases. He noted that litigants are presently forced to travel long distances, leading to financial strain and delays in justice.
“The situation is unjust and unacceptable,” he said, adding that the association will continue to pursue these demands at all administrative and judicial levels until they are fulfilled.
The Bar Association Beerwah has called upon the government and concerned authorities to take immediate steps to address these issues in the interest of justice and public welfare.
Rather expressed hope that this marks the beginning of a new phase in which Beerwah receives the judicial infrastructure it rightfully deserves.
