A 26 year old youth from the picturesque village of Hajibal in north Kashmir’s Baramulla has qualified the prestigious Indian Statistical Services examination. By achieving the feat, Syed Adil Zahoor of Hajibal village has become the second person from Kashmir to qualify the ISS exam.
The last Kashmiri who has qualified the examination is Haji Altaf who is now holding the Deputy Director General position.
Syed Adil, is currently serving as the Block Development Office Qaziabad as Accounts Assistant. He cracked the examination in his first attempt.
Hajibal, a picturesque village is 14 kilometers away from main town Baramulla and is one of the villages identified by the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as a tourist destination.
Hundreds of people, relatives and friends visited to greet the family as soon as the news broke about his selection in the prestigious ISS examination.
Syed Adil has done his initial schooling at Middle School Hajibal and Bachelor of Arts from Government Degree College Boys Baramulla.
He has done his Masters from the University of Kashmir and has qualified the Junior Research Fellowship in 2020.
