Expressing his joy over this remarkable feat, Dr. Bakshi shared, “I applied for the bid on July 6, 2023, and as per a communiqué received by me, my bid shows to have gone through as of September 12, 2023.”
“I am quite happy to become the first from the Valley to make it,” added Dr. Bakshi, who serves as the CEO of ARML Labs in Handwara.
Dedicating the achievement to his father, he expressed gratitude, stating, “This is for you, Dad. It’s all because of you, and I love you.”
Dr. Bakshi expressed elation, considering this accomplishment a dream come true.
Notably, he is the second person from Jammu and Kashmir to own a piece of land on the moon. Rupesh Masson, a 49-year-old businessman from Jammu, previously secured lunar property, becoming the first to do so.
Masson purchased land on “Luna Earths Moon, Tract 55-Parcel 10772, known as Lacus Felicitatis (Lake of Happiness).”
