Bandipora’s ‘Inspire school of martial arts’ academy bags eight medals in National Vovinam Championship

Bandipora, Sep 26: Bandipora-based academy ‘Inspire school of martial arts’ bagged eight medals in the National Vovinam championship.
Founder and director of the academy, Aafaq Sadiq told Rising Kashmir that eight players of his academy bagged medals in 11th National Vovinam championship which was held at K.D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow on the 22nd to 25th of September.
He said that in the girls category Farhana Ferooz received (gold) in junior category weight 51kgs , Sakeena Akhter received (gold) medal in sub-junior category weight 25kgs, Shaziya Akhter received (bronze) medal in sub-junior category weight 43 kgs.
In the boys category Ishtiyaq Ashraf received (gold) medal in the junior category weight 49kgs, Zeeshan Ali Najar received (gold) medal in the Sub-junior category weight 25kgs, Rayees Ashraf received (gold) medal in the Junior category weight 67kgs, Basharat Hussain received (Bronze) medal in junior category weight 45 kgs, Altaf Hussain Dar received (Bronze) medal in Senior category weight 65 kgs, he said.
Known by the name of a falcon, Afaq Abid is a maestro in martial arts and has trained 27000 students so far.
