Bandipora, Dec 31: The demand for expansion and highway status of Srinagar-Gurez Road is growing among the residents of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district day by day.

A youth delegation, led by Mehran Sofi and Yasir Peerzada also echoed the call for upgrading Srinagar-Bandipora-Gurez to National Highway status.
Residents while highlighting the district’s potential as a tourist destination, with attractions like Wular, Gurez, Authwatoo, Ketson, and Sirander said that the lack of a proper highway hinders progress of district and affects both tourists and locals.
