Bandipora RR bid adieu to SSP Zaid Malik, hosts farewell party

Bandipora, Jan 07: The 14th battalion of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) stationed in Bandipora on Saturday organised a farewell party at Sonarwani to bid adieu to SSP Bandipora Mohammad Zaid Malik on his transfer.
On this occasion, Commanding Officer 14 RR, Colonel Ajay Singh Rawat SM, CO 26 AR, Colonel Yogeshwar Singh, and all officers were present.
An official said the officers appreciated the contribution of Mohammad Zaid rendered by him in ensuring a peaceful and safe district. They said his efforts to ensure a drug and crime-free Bandipora will be a benchmark for all other officers. The Army officers expressed best wishes to the SSP Bandipora for future postings.
They said as a police head of Bandipora district, Zaid has been in the forefront combating terrorism, maintaining law and order in the town and generating intelligence for effect based operations.
Zaid is a 2001 batch JKPS officer who held the appointment of SSP Bandipora in March 2021. During his illustrious career spanning 23 years, he has tenanted various appointments in various districts of J&K.
As a token of appreciation and remembrance a Garhwali Soldier memento was presented to the outgoing SSP.
