Srinagar, Aug 10:  The Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Aijaz Asad, announced today that the main Independence Day function will take place at the historic Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
The event is set to be graced by the distinguished presence of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who will perform the honour of hoisting the Tricolor, symbolizing the nation’s unity and hard-fought freedom.
“We have diligently arranged all necessary facilities to ensure a smooth and successful execution of the Independence Day function,” Deputy Commissioner Aijaz Asad assured during a press briefing. Bakshi Stadium, renowned for hosting significant events, is expected to be charged with patriotic enthusiasm as people gather to pay tribute to the nation’s journey towards independence.
Highlighting the importance of community participation, Aijaz Asad emphasized, “We urge citizens to actively engage in the celebrations and contribute to the spirit of the occasion.” The announcement was met with heightened security arrangements throughout the city. Joint security forces have been deployed to maintain order and provide a secure environment for the attendees.
Aijaz Asad further stated, “Stringent frisking procedures have been initiated at various locations across the city to pre-empt any potential security concerns.” The authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the event transpires without any untoward incidents.
With the Independence Day approaching, the upcoming celebration at Bakshi Stadium is a testament to the enduring spirit of freedom and unity. “Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s participation in hoisting the Tricolor resonates with the collective pride and aspirations of the people,” Deputy Commissioner Aijaz Asad remarked, underlining the significance of the event.
