Srinagar, July 15: Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad, the last Prime Minister of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State, was remembered on his 52nd death anniversary.
Family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to recite Fateha, praying for the peace of his soul and reflecting on his “immense contributions” to various spheres and sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, a press release issued here said
Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad passed away on July 5, 1972. His two surviving sons, Bakshi Humayun Javed, Director of SKICC, and Bakshi Jehangir, serving as Medical Superintendent at Shireen Bagh Super-Speciality Hospital, continue to uphold his name, the statement said, adding, “People from all walks of life offered prayers for his heavenly abode, remembering him as a leader of the masses whose impact on the region remains enduring.”
