Srinagar, Feb 27: The Democratic Progressive Azad Party on Monday welcomed Saddam Nabi Azad for actively joining the politics at Srinagar.
Saddam, the son of former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and DPAP Chairman formerly joined politics during Youth interaction programme held at Srinagar. The 41-year-old Saddam is a businessman and has pursued his studies from England.
“We welcome Saddam Nabi Azad for deciding to join in active politics. Given his exposure and vision, he will be a guiding force for our youth. “We are welcoming him and looking forward for his contribution.” said RS Chib, General Secretary.
“Saddam was already working behind the scenes to improve the functioning of our party. But now he decided formally to join and engage in active politics. He has a vision, mission and energy to share for his people in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Salman Nizami, the DPAP Chief spokesman.
