Srinagar, July 10: Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday expressed grief over the demise of Ranbir Singh Bali, Director Finance, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department in a road accident on Mughal Road on Sunday.
In a condolence statement, Azad offered his condolence to the Bali family on the loss of Ranbir’s wife and son in the same accident as their car skidded into a gorge near the Panar bridge on Mughal Road in the Surankote area of Poonch district on Sunday evening.
“The news of the death of Ranbir Singh, his wife Parvinder Kour and son Irvan Singh in a tragic accident is shocking as the loss of lives is unbearable. The recovery of daughter Mahreen Kour in stable condition is heart-filling. I express my deepest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family at this hour of grief and pray for eternal peace to the departed souls,” he said
Azad also offered his condolences to the families of those persons who were killed after their bus was hit by a landslide near Bhanghroo Gandoh village in Doda district on Sunday morning. Expressing condolence to the families of Amir Sohail, a resident of Kahara Doda and Mudasir Ali of Halore Changa, Azad directed his party leaders and workers to reach out to the kin of the victims and those injured in the accident.
“No amount of words would fill the void created by the sudden demise of Amit and Mudasir in a landslide that hit their bus in which they were travelling. The UT administration should immediately declare compensation to the kin of the deceased and provide medical aid to the injured on a fast-track basis,” Azad said.
Chairman Peoples Democratic Front and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen expressed profound grief and sorrow over the death of Ranbir Singh Bali, his wife and his son in a tragic road accident on Mughal road late last evening.
In a condolence message, Hakeem Yaseen said the officer was a helpful and humble human being who rendered his services efficiently and honestly. He conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and eternal peace to the departed souls.
Apni Party’s Chief Spokesperson and former legislator, Javid Hassan Baigh also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic accident. In a statement, Baigh expressed shock and profound grief over the tragedy.
“The news of the accident that claimed the lives of Singh Bali, his wife, and his son has left me in a state of shock and profound grief. It is particularly heartbreaking for me as the family resided in my neighbourhood, and I had the privilege of personally knowing Mr. Bali. Words cannot adequately convey the depth of my emotions in the face of this tragic occurrence,” he said.
