Baramulla, June 01: The Department of Orthopaedics at GMC Baramulla has achieved a significant feat by successfully conducting a total knee replacement surgery on a 65-year-old patient grappling with advanced osteoarthritis of the knee.
A healthcare official said that the patient was suffering from persistent knee pain for more than five years and was heavily reliant on painkillers for temporary relief.

Dr Lubna Reshi expressed her satisfaction with the outcome, emphasising the importance of timely medical intervention and the benefits it can bring to patients suffering from similar conditions.
She praised the collaborative efforts of the surgical team and highlighted the significance of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in enabling affordable and quality healthcare for patients in need.
