Ganderbal, Feb 23: In response to the recent weather forecast and advisory issued by the Meteorological Centre Srinagar regarding the heightened risk of avalanches until February 29th, the authorities have taken proactive measures to ensure the safety of the public in the Sub Division Kangan.
According to an order issued by the Sub Divisional Magistrate Kangan, in view of the Weather Forecast and Advisory issued by Meteorological Centre Srinagar regarding avalanche Warning till 29h February 2024, it is hereby ordered that General Manager/Project Manager APCO/NHIDCL shall keep the Z-Mohr tunnel open for the safe movement of people, employees, labourers, machinery etc and shall keep close liaison with police authorities for the same. Furthermore, the general public living over hilly areas are advised not to venture in avalanche prone areas.
