Jammu, Sep 27: Apni Party spokesperson and Youth Wing, State General Secretary, Abhay Bakaya has expressed concern over the “poor implementation” of government schemes that are meant for upgradation of living standards and economic welfare of people, particularly women.
Abhay was addressing a public meeting near Peer Baba at ward number 71, Sidhra. In this meeting, dozens of people joined the Apni Party expressing faith in the leadership of Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari and the party’s policy and agenda of development, a statement issued here said, adding that the meeting was organised by Provincial President Jammu, Apni Trade Union, Raj Sharma.
In his address, Abhay said that the Government of India has launched many welfare schemes in favour of the marginalised sections of society especially women for their social and economic upgradation.
“These schemes however were not being implemented on the ground. As a result, the people who deserved the benefits of such schemes were deprived of their constitutional rights,” he said, citing examples of government schemes like Ladli Beti, and entrepreneurship, etc.
He said that the unemployed youth hardly get to know about the policies, and schemes launched by the government for their self-employment in the shape of entrepreneurship and how the banks help the youth to realise their dreams. “It is this failure of the administration that the youth continue to strive for employment without knowing better options in self-employment,” he said, and advised the authorities to establish better connectivity with the unemployed youth and the people in Jammu and Kashmir to end the feeling of alienation.
