Baramulla, Mar 28: A scuffle between a security guard and an attendant at a sub-district hospital in Sopore resulted in the injury of the attendant on Tuesday.
A healthcare official told Rising Kashmir that the incident occurred around 2 pm when a heated argument between the two turned physical.
The injured attendant, identified as Ishfaq Ahmed of Behrampora Sopore, alleged that after the scuffle, he was taken to a guard room where at least six security men beat him mercilessly.
However, the details of the altercation leading to the scuffle remain unclear.
Dr Zulfiqar, the Block Medical Officer of Sopore, confirmed that the police have intervened in the matter and an investigation is underway.
