JAMMU, Feb 06: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the new office complex of Atomic North Private Limited at Durang Village, Billawar, Kathua. He congratulated the IT services company, the youth, and residents of Billawar and adjoining areas on this significant occasion, commending Atomic North for its commitment to creating substantial job opportunities and fostering technological innovation in the region.
The Lt Governor highlighted Atomic North’s status as a leading IT services company with offices worldwide and emphasized the importance of its expansion into rural Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting the government’s dedication to revitalizing village economies.
He suggested that Atomic North prioritize the skill development and recruitment of local youth from Billawar and nearby areas to harness local talent and drive rural transformation. In the initial phase, the company plans to commence BPO operations with 100 executives, with over 90% being local youth. Subsequently, plans include establishing a data center, a Network Operations Center, and a Security Operations Center, creating employment opportunities for 1500 youth and further stimulating economic growth. The Lt Governor lauded the state-of-the-art facility, equipped with cutting-edge technology, for bolstering the capacity building of young talent in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with the administration’s vision to empower local communities and promote sustainable growth in the IT-enabled services sector.
Expressing confidence in Atomic North’s commitment to customer service and global connectivity, the Lt Governor anticipated that the venture would encourage other IT companies to establish businesses in rural areas, fostering rural technology hubs in Jammu and Kashmir.
