Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday have solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Stolen cash was also recovered.
A police spokesman said, “On 14/11/2022, Police Station Rajpora received a written complaint from Mohd Yousuf Dar of Tujan stating therein that an amount of Rs 28,000/- has been stolen/withdrawn from his account by the unknown person.”
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 100/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Rajpora and investigation was initiated.
The spokesman said that during the course of investigation, a special team was constituted. With the help of technical resources, it came to fore that the amount has been withdrawn by using his ATM card at Dalipora ATM outlet by a person wearing mask. During further course of investigation, suspect was identified as Shabir Ahmad Poswaal (ATM Guard at Pakherpora ATM) son of Mohd Qasim Poswaal resident of Sonabanjr Rajpora. Subsequently, he was arrested and during questioning stolen money of ₹28,000 and four other ATM cards belongs to different customers was recovered on his disclosure. Further investigation into the matter is going on.
