Srinagar, June 14: BJP J&K General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul on Thursday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his “tireless efforts in bringing peace and prosperity” to Jammu and Kashmir. He urged all party leaders to engage directly with the people by visiting polling booths and working tirelessly at the grassroots level to enhance the party’s influence and reach.
As per a party statement issued here, Ashok Koul conducted a crucial meeting here to deliberate on the forthcoming event ‘9 Saal Beemisal Campaign’, commemorating the nine years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “exceptional leadership”. The meeting focused on highlighting the transformative achievements under the “visionary leadership” of PM Modi and strategizing ways to further strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.
During the meeting, the BJP leader underlined the “remarkable accomplishments” of the Modi government and said, “A staggering amount of Rs 29 lakh crore has been directly transferred to beneficiary bank accounts. The significance of the initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana (PMGKAY), which provided free food grains to over 80 crore impoverished individuals across the nation. Additionally, Rs 5,182 crore has been disbursed in 42.87 lakh accounts under the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme, benefiting street vendors. The Modi government has also sanctioned loans worth over Rs 7,558 crore under Stand Up India to SC and ST beneficiaries. Furthermore, the E-Shram Portal, serving as a National Database of Unorganised Workers (NDUW), has witnessed the registration of 28.90 crore unorganised workers, duly seeded with their Aadhaar details.”
During the meeting, various responsibilities were assigned to party leaders. The duty of overseeing the Mann Ki Baat program in Kashmir was bestowed upon senior party leader Altaf Thakur who will be responsible for organizing the Mann Ki Baat events, and ensuring effective communication between the government and the citizens, the statement said.
In an effort to make the upcoming virtual meeting with PM Modi a resounding success, Ashok Koul entrusted the responsibility to Manzoor Bhat and Bilal Parray. This crucial meeting with PM Modi will provide an opportunity for the Prime Minister to interact with beneficiaries of various government schemes and understand their experiences and feedback and also look after Media Publicity Manzoor Bhat and Social Media Bilal Parray.
BJP Incharge Central Kashmir Arif Raja will look door-to-door campaign under the “Maha Jansampark Abhiyan” to highlight the ‘corruption-free and efficient governance’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre in the last nine years.

The event will celebrate the achievements and progress made under his visionary leadership and will further strengthen the BJP’s commitment to serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” the party said.
