Srinagar, Dec 25: A blood donation and health check-up camp would be held with the support of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh at Aryans Institute of Nursing & Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh on January 28, 2023.
The PGI team including doctors, nurses and technicians will conduct a thorough medical checkup of voluntary and eligible donors to donate blood. Medical guidance and prescription will be given to the students, parents, faculty members and local residents of nearby villages. The donors will also be given certificates and donor cards along with refreshments.
Dr. AnshuKataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while motivating the students said that the Aryans Group is organizing blood donation & free health camps for the last 15 years under its Corporate Social Responsibility. Kataria said that a person can save 3 lives from 1 unit of blood and these camps not only provide blood to the blood banks but also are a great boon to thalassemia and leukemia patients who need blood infusions frequently.
Mrs. Nidhi Chopra, Principal, Aryans Institute of Nursing said that such camps will kindle a spirit of social service in the students and community. While the free health checkup camp would help the local people to get their free checkups done and knowledge about their personal hygiene, care, medication, etc.
