Arrangements for annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Wali Bagdadi (RA) reviewed at Kulgam

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri today chaired a meeting, here to review annual Urs arrangements of sufi saint Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Bagdadi (RA).

It was informed that the Urs of the saint will commence from February 01 while it shall be observed with reverence at Kund shrine till February 09.

The ADC directed the officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water supply, proper sanitation measures besides healthcare facilities and security arrangements at Shrine during all these days.

During the meeting, PDD authorities were directed to ensure repairs of high mast lights and to augment the LT network in the area besides to keep DG sets available for power back up.

MED was asked to clear Snow from all main roads, link roads in the area and to keep men and machinery available and in ready mode to clear roads in case of Snowfall during these days to ensure hassle-free movement of devotees.

ADC stressed upon the officers to work in coordination and to put in place all the requisite arrangements in advance to avoid any inconvenience to the people and smooth celebrations of the Urs.

Tehsildar Hq, DSP Hq, Ex. Engineers from PDD, PMGSY, Jal Shakti and MED,DFO, and other officers, members of local Auqaf Committee attended the meeting.
