Leh, March 15: Indian Army demonstrated its commitment to wildlife conservation by rescuing an injured Snow Leopard in Ladakh.
With assistance from the Wildlife Department of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, soldiers from the Ultimate Force camp provided protective care to the endangered feline until experienced wildlife officials arrived.
In a Post on ‘X’ Firefurycorps shared a Video #IndianArmy, committed towards preserving the #Wildlife of #Ladakh, rescued an injured #SnowLeopard with assistance from the Wildlife Department of @LAHDC_LEH.
The injured feline, one of the rarest & endangered species of the region, came near one of the camps of Ultimate Force where the soldiers took protective care, till the arrival of experienced wildlife officials.
The snow leopard was safely evacuated to #Leh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre from where it will be released to the folds of nature, post recuperation.
“Treasure the most priceless treasure: Wildlife. It takes some Courage and Raw Nerves to place water and food for a Ferocious, Wild but ‘unwell’ visitor. Such are the steely men who stand firm at the LAC,” the Army affirmed, underlining the bravery and compassion exhibited by the soldiers.”
