Srinagar, Nov 8: Arise International Academy, a newly incepted school in Srinagar outskirts, on Tuesday said it has come up with a “first-of-its-kind” schooling – from toddler to higher academic levels – on a maximum of modern lines in the valley.
At the inaugural event, Omar Beigh, Chairman of the school, said a concept was worked upon to introduce One Destination Schooling in Kashmir.
“First, parents have to enroll their kids in toddler schools. After two years they had to find a new school for their children. I have come up with a concept to introduce the One Destination Schooling where students from the preparatory level will get higher education at the same place,” Omar said. “As of now, we are taking admissions from toddlers to Class VI for academic session 2023-2024,” he added.
At the inaugural event, noted pulmonologist of the valley Dr Naveed Nazir Shah, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said the time has come to get school children “fully into academics” as the Covid times have been a struggling phase for them.
“Apart from medical practice, I am also a teacher and I truly understand what students may have gone through in the absence of offline classes as Covid forced us to switch to an online mode of teaching and learning. Now the time has come to get into full offline academics and a teacher has to understand the potential of students so that the same can be used at the right time and right place,” Dr Naveed said.
He said that seeing educational institutions flourishing in society makes him “extremely happy”. However, he urged teachers to “further enhance the assimilation of moral values and ethics among students in order to create a responsible and disciplined futuristic society”.
Principal Lucy Jacob told Rising Kashmir that the school is all set to welcome students from toddlers to Class VI for academic session 2023-2024 and that they have taken the educational format on modern lines with the induction of smart classes as well.
“The school administration has made the most high-end facilities available for educating kids, and keeping the climatic circumstances in mind, our classrooms are outfitted with temperature controllers suited for both summers and winters,” she stated.
