Srinagar, Nov 22: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the tragic demise of four army personnel during an ongoing encounter with terrorists in the Kalakot forests of Rajouri district.
In his statement, the Apni Party President said, “The reports pouring in from Rajouri are disturbing. I am deeply saddened to hear that the two Army captains, a JCO, and an Army Major, were killed in the encounter with the terrorists in Rajouri. I am deeply shocked by the loss of lives. My heart goes out to the families of these brave hearts.”
Apni Party’s Provincial President, Jammu and former minister, S. Manjit Singh also expressed sympathies with the bereaved family members of martyred Indian Army soldiers that broke out in Kalakote. “We stand with our defence forces who defend our territory by putting their lives at risk,” said Manjit Singh, expressing concern over the terror-related activities along the villages in two districts along the Line of Control in Rajouri-Poonch.
He said that the anti-national elements and terrorists want to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir with their activities. “The defence forces and J&K Police have played an important role in bringing the situation to normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir after three decades with their sacrifices,” he added.
