Srinagar, Feb 06:The Jammu and Kashmir administration claims to have retrieved over 1000 kanals of state and ‘kahcharie (grazing)’ land from 94 influential persons, including several senior leaders, businessmen and senior police officials, across various parts of Kashmir Valley since an anti-encroachment drive was launched in early January, till February 5, officials on Monday said.
As per official figures available with Rising Kashmir, 1087 Kanals and 137 Marlas of state and Kahcharie land has been retrieved from 94 influential persons in Kashmir.
In its recent statement, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has assured the people that the administration will safeguard the habitations and livelihoods of the common man. Only influential and powerful people who misused their position and violated the law to encroach upon the state land would face the law of the land.
The district wise list of encroacher’s as accessed by Rising Kashmir included:
Srinagar
In summer capital Srinagar, 144 Kanals and 32 Marlas of Kahcharie land were retrieved from influential people by the district administration.
Encroachment on 36 Kanalsof Kahcharie land was retrieved from Hasmatulla Khan and Muneer Ahmad Khan (Retd. V.C. SKAUST , Kidney Specialist) at Rakh-e-Zakoora in Tehsil North of Srinagar.
5 Kanals and 10 Marlas of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land brokers Mohamad Ramzan and Others at Khimbar Srinagar. Similarly at Danihama Srinagar 6 Kanal of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Rafiq Ahmad. At Ahal Srinagar 35 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land broker Nazir Ahmad.
In KP Bagh, Tehsil South Srinagar, 40 Kanals of Kacharie land was retrieved from businessmen Fayad Ahmad Sofi, Nisar Abdul Najeed , Fayaz Ahmad and Zahoor Ahmad Wani , Manzoor Ahmad Ahenger.
At Khushipora area of Central Shalteng 32 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land broker Manzoor Ahmad.
25 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from businessman Manzoor Ahmad Ahenger S/o Abdul KhaliqAhenger at KhonmohPantha Chowk .
At Balhama Srinagar, 50 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land broker Mukhtar Hussain Bhat S/o Mohammad Ashraf Bhat. Similarly, 27 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Mohammad Yousuf Wani S/o Ghulam Hussain Wani land brokers..
Interestingly, 35 Kanals and 11 Marlas of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land broker Mukhtar Ahmad S/o Ali Mohammad Rather at Laloo Sheshgari Bagh area of Chanapora-Natipora areas of Srinagar .
52 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land brokers Abdul Rahim Bhat, Lassa Bhat, Abdul GaniGanie at Nowgam.
95 Kanals and 11 Marlas of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land brokers “GulamNabi Mir R/o Bakshipora, Mohammad Haya, Mohammad Shaban, Abdul Gani, Abdul Khaliq Ss/o Ghulam Qadir Wani R/o Krershbal, Ghulam Mohammad, Ghulam Hassan, Sannaullah, Abdul Razaq Ss/o Sultan Bhat R/o Kreshbal, Ali Wani son in law RustumGanai R/o Kreshbal, Ab Reman and others Ss/o Ghulam Mohammad Wani R/o Kreshbal..
6 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from land brokers Hilal Ahmad Batwari S/o Ghulam Ahmad Batwari R/o Ahmad Nagar, Ali Mohmmad Shah S/o Mohammad SubhanR/o Ahmad Nagar.
Shopian
In Shopian, 22 Kanals and 23 Marlas of Kahcharie land were retrieved from influential people by the district administration. 7 Kanal orchard land ( Walnut Trees)with fencing falling under survey no. 567 at Village Ramnagri was retrieved from President Traders Federation Shopian, Gh NabiTurrey S/o Gh Hassan Turrey at Ramnagri Shopian.
Land measuring 05 Kanal 10 Marla falling under survey no. 704 & 710 at Village Chitragam was retrieved from Brother of Ex. MLC Showket Hussain Ganie at Chitragam.
05 Kanal 06 Marla falling under survey 351,391 & 298 was retrieved from former Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu at village Pirpora of Shopian.
Similarly land measuring 05 Kanal 07 Marla falling under survey 194, 163/1,222 was retrieved from Gh Hussain S/o Gh Hassan Drabu from father of Former Finance Minister, Dr. Haseeb Drabu.
The Shopian administration demolished its fencing and the retrieved land kept under the Superdnama of Horticulture Department.
Ganderbal
In central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, 326Kanals of Kahcharie land were retrieved from influential people by the district administration.
15 Kahcharie land was retrieved from businessman Mohd Sakhi Rather at WakooraGanderbal under Khasra number 1131. The said patch of land was under the illegal encroachment since long and was identified for Cattle pond.
Similarly at WakooraGanderbal, 15 kanalsKahcharie land was retrieved from businessmen Ab Rehman Sheikh, 5 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Ab Jabar Sheikh, 10 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Sonaullah Sheikh, 20 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Mohd Ramzan Hajam. These all patches of land are notified by the district administration and have been identified for Cattle ponds.
12 kanalsKahcharie land was retrieved from Ab Hameed Mir and Gh Mohiudin Lone at BatwinaGanderbal . The said patches of land were under the illegal encroachment since long and it will be handed over to Horticulture/other relevant department.
5 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from businessman Abdul Ahad and Othersat BatwinaWakooraGanderbal. Similarly 31 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from businessman Auqaf Dab at Dab Ganderbal under Khasra number 944. The evicted land will be handed over to Social Forestry/ other relevant department.
20 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from businessman Gh Hassan Rather , Gh Ahmad Rathers , Mohd Ibrahim Dar & Ors at Dab Ganderbal.
30 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from businessman Miftha Ah Shah and others at GagangeerGund, Ganderbal .
Similarly, 30 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Ex-Sarpanch Ab Salam Lone S/o Ali Lone at NunnerGanderbal. The said patch of land was under the illegal encroachment since long. It was handed over to Horticulture Department.
15 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Retired Govt. Employee Ab. Salam S/o Muhammad Ramzan Lone at NunnerGanderbal .
30 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Retired Govt. Employee Abdul Ahad S/o Ghulam Mohammad Parray at Barwala KanganGanderbal. Encroached land retrieved and handed over to Horticulture Department.
15 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from businessman Abdul AzizS/o Ghu. Muhammad Sheikh at WahidporaLar area of Ganderbal. 1 Kanal of Kachcharie land was retrieved “Govt. Employee (Policeman), Abdul AhadParray S/o Assad Parray at Barwala KanganGanderbal. The evicted land will be handed over to relevant department.
Budgam
In central Kashmir’s Budgam district, 2 Kanals and 7 Marlas of Kahcharie land were retrieved from influential people by the district administration.
1 Kanal of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Anjum SultanWife of Ex-Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Farooq Ahmed Renzooat Humhama area. Its demarcation was conducted by R.K Shravan Kumar committee appointed by the then Govt and its outer concrete Boundary wall was demolished.
1 Kanal Kahcharie land was retrieved from top Police Official Baqir Hassan Samoon S/o Mohd Anwar Samoon at Gogoo Budgam .
The district administration Budgam had demolished Concrete Walling and Tin Shed and Green House at the same location. As per officials, the same police officer had applied for exchange of land for 9 Malras however there was excess land encroached by him and the file has not been approved.
7 Marlas of 1 Kanal Kahcharie land was retrieved at Dharambugh BK Porea of Budgam from noted businessman Hilal Ahmad Anim S/o HafizullahaAnim resident of Hyderpora.
As per district administration, notice already served at the time of demarcation by the Order’s of Sub Divisional Magistrate Chadoora and two Storied residential house was sealed and board of PatwarKhana was installed at the site.
Baramulla
In north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, 153 Kanals, of Kahcharie and Shamilat Section-4 land was retrieved from influential people by the district administration.
65 Kanals of Shamilat Section-4 land was retrieved from Owner /Chairperosn of SSM College Dilafrooz and other people at FeroozporaTangmarg area of Baramulla.
As per officials, the Kahcharie Land was encroached earlier by Ex-MLA Mustafa Kamal and others. Later on handed over to Dilafrooz and others. The whole patch of land retrieved and handed over to Agriculture Department. Sign boards were installed on spot and entry made in the RoznamchaWaqati.
45 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Politician ex-MLA Ansari Brothers at DeverYekhmanporaSingpora area of Baramulla. Tin, barbed wire and Chainlink fencing removed and handed over to Horticulture Department. Sign boards installed on spot and entry made in the RoznamchaWaqati.
30 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Owner /Chairperosn SSM College Dilafrooz at DeverYekhmanporaSingpora Baramulla under Khasra number 1639Min. Three structures sealed and Chainlink fencing removed on spot and sign boards installed and entry made in the RoznamchaWaqati.
03 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Politician exMLA Syed Basharat Bukhari at Kreeri Baramulla .. Whole patch Land was retrieved on spot and handed over to RDD.
10 Kanals of Kachcharie land was retrieved from Businessman/ Builder Manzoor Ahmad Bhat and others at Singhpora Baramulla . The encroached Land removed and handedover to RDD.
Anantnag district
As per the official figures, 23 Kanals and 17 Marlas were retrieved from influential persons in Anantnag district. Briefing about the details, in Dooru area, 15 Kanals of Shamilat Sec-4 land was retrieved from legal heirs of politician Syed Mir Qasim.
Similarly, 1 Kanal of Kahcharaie land was grabbed by Politician Peerzada Mohd Syed son of Mohd Yousuf Peerzada at Ara KhushiporaDooru under Khasra number 310 min. In Shistergam village of Dooru, 2 Kanal, 7 Marlas of Shamilat Sec-4 land was retrieved from joint dynasty of Farooq Andrabi.
In LG Pora area of Anantnag, 10 Marlas of Shamilat Sec-4 land was retrieved from Ex. MLA Abdul Majeed Bhat S/o Ghulam Mohiuddin Bhat who has build commercial complex on this land under Khasra number 42 min.
In Nipora area of Anantnag, 4 Kanals of state land was retrieved from influential businessman Manzoor Ahmad S/o Ghulam Hassan Bhat and others under Khasra number 205 min.
Kulgam
In Kulgam 9 Kanals, 32 Marlas were retrieved by influential people by the administration. The list includes Azad Ah Wagay S/o Gh NabiWagay who is Government employee and had grabbed 3 Kanals of Maidani. His encroachment was in the form of trees and barbed wire fencing removed by the revenue officials and land was retrieved back.
3 Kanals of Maidani land was retrieved from Azad Ah Wagay S/o Gh NabiWagay (Government employee) at Mirwani area of DH Pora.
Similarly 1 Kanal of land was retrieved from influential businessman Mohammad Abdullah Reshi S/o Ab GaniReshi at Kulgam.
10 Marlas of recorded as Shamilat Sec 4 was retrieved from Politician Safdar Ali Khan S/o Mahideen Khan at Kulgam. The commercial shops were demolished by the authorities.
10 Marlas of land was retrieved from Politician Anayatullah Rather S/o Gh Hassan Rather in Kulgam under Khasra number 1114 min. In ShahooSachan area of Kulgam, 1 Kanal of Kahcharai land was retrieved from Wali Meer S/o Gh Ahmad Mir who is the retired Govt. employee.
Businessman Ghulam Hassan Bhat who had encroached 6 Marlas of Kahcharai at Frisal area of Kulgam district. The land was retrieved by revenue department and fencing was removed from the same land. Similarly 6 Marlas of Kachchari land was retrieved from Gull Mohd Rather S/o Resh Rather who is Retd. Employee at ShirporaFrisal area of Kulgam.
4 Kanals of land was retrieved from Retd. employees Mohd Ahsan S/o Kareem Mir, Gh Hassan S/o JammaKuttay and Gh Nabi S/o Sadiq Malik at ChandianPajanDevsar area of Kulgam district. Similarly 1 Kanal of land was retrieved from Mohd Yousuf S/o Ab Rahman Dar at MaliporaDevsar area of Kulgam.
Pulwama
In Pulwama, 86 Kanals of Kahcharie land were retrieved from influential people by the district administration. 10 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Gh Nabi S/o Gaffar Mir, 5 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Fayaz Ahmad and Others S/o Noor Mohd Tanga R/o Srinagar at at TraliPayeen.
4 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved by Ghulam Mohammad S/o Khaliq Dar at PahooKakapora. Similarly 2 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Bashir Ahmad S/o Gh Mohd Ganie and Gh Mohiudin S/o Assadullah Bhat at Chandhara area of Pulwama.
1 Kanal of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Manzoor Ahmad S/o Habib Ganie at KrenchooPampore. 12 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Ab Ahad and Ab Rashid S/o Akbar Dar, Ab Gani and Mohd Akbar Ss/o Sulla Dar and Mohd Maqbool, Mohd Yousuf and Gh Nabi S/o Ali Mohd Dar at at TujanRajpora Pulwama.
15 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Mohd Ismail Dar S/o Ali Mohd Dar, Mohd Shaban S/o Gh Mohd Dar and Ali Mohd Dar S/o Ahsan Dar at PanzgamAwantipora by the district administration.
Similarly 34 Kanals of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Mohd Shafi S/o Ab Samad Mir (Govt. Employee), Mohd Sidiq S/o Akli Sheikh, Mehraj-ud-din&Mubeena, Ali Mohd S/o Lassa Bhat (Govt employee), Bashir Ahmad S/o KhaliqMasoodi (Govt. employee) and Gh. Hassan S/o Ali Mohd (Govt employee) at NamblabalPampora area of Pulwama.
1 Kanal of Kahcharie land was retrieved from Farooq Ahmad S/o Gh Rasool Naik at Pinglena Pulwama, 1 Kanal from Mushtaq Ahmad S/o Ab Rahman Bhat R/o Nawnagri and 1 Kanal from Shameema W/o Shabir Ahmad R/o Tumlahal.
Bandipora
In north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, 23 Kanals, 37 Marlas of Kahcharie land was retrieved from influential people by the district administration.
At GamrooBandipora, 2 Kanals, 10 Marlas of Saifzaar land was retrieved from Rtd. DSP Gh Nabi S/o Gh Mohd Shah, 2 Kanals, 10 Marlas was retrieved from Police Deparment employee, Khursheed Ahmad Shah S/o Gh Mohd Shah, 3 2 Kanals of Saifzaar land was retrieved from Rtd. Employee Police Deptt Gh Hassan s/o Gh MohiuddinShiekh at the same village.
16 Kanals of Labroo land was retrieved from Rtd. Employee (Education Deptt) Najamuddin S/o Mohd Azeem Mir Gojar at Chittibanday by the district administration.
7 Marlas of Commercial land was retrieved from Ex ZEO and EX NT Mohd Yousuf Wani& others S/o Abdullah Wani at Hajin .
