Srinagar, June 5: President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association, Molvi Imran Ansari, on Thursday extended greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-e-Ghadeer, describing it as one of the most significant events in Islamic history.
In his message, Ansari recalled the historic gathering at Ghadeer Khumm, where the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) declared, “For whoever I am his Mawla, Ali is also his Mawla.” He said the occasion serves as a reminder of the values of faith, justice, leadership, compassion, unity and service to humanity as exemplified by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Hazrat Imam Ali (AS).
Ansari also referred to the Quranic verse, “Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and chosen Islam as your religion” (Quran 5:3), saying that Eid-e-Ghadeer conveys a timeless message of unity, brotherhood, mutual respect and adherence to truth and justice.
Paying tribute to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ansari said his commitment to Islam, resistance against oppression and support for the Muslim Ummah had inspired millions across the world.
He added that his guidance, vision and support for oppressed communities would continue to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations.
On the occasion, Ansari offered prayers for peace, dignity and justice for the people of Iran, Palestine and Lebanon. He also prayed for the prosperity, unity and well-being of the Muslim Ummah and for lasting peace across the world.
The All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association wished Eid-e-Ghadeer Mubarak to all and expressed hope that the occasion would strengthen faith, promote goodwill and foster harmony among communities.
