Ganderbal, March 03: The annual Urs of the revered saint, Baba Abdullah Reshi Sahab (RA), commenced, March 1, 2025, at the Astani Aliya in Chundina, Ganderbal.
The spiritual event, which will continue until March 6, 2025, marks a significant occasion for devotees and followers of the saint from across Kashmir and beyond.
The Urs celebrations began with traditional prayers and recitations, drawing hundreds of devotees to the sacred shrine. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and reverence as people gathered to pay their respects and seek blessings.
The Intezamia Committee, responsible for organizing the event, has extended a warm invitation to all residents of Kashmir to participate in the Shab Khani, a night-long spiritual gathering, to be held on March 6, 2025. The Shab Khani will feature recitations of the Holy Quran, Naat Sharif, and spiritual discourses, creating an atmosphere of peace and unity.
The Secretary of the Intezamia Committee stated, “We welcome everyone to join us in this sacred celebration. It is a time for reflection, prayer, and seeking the blessings of Hadrat Baba Abdullah Reshi Sahab (RA). Let us come together to honor his legacy and strengthen our spiritual bonds.”
Urs is not only a religious event but also a symbol of communal harmony and brotherhood. Devotees from all walks of life are expected to participate in the festivities, making it a truly inclusive and spiritually enriching experience.
The committee has made all necessary arrangements to ensure the comfort and safety of the attendees. Adequate facilities have been organized to cater to the devotees expected to visit the shrine during the period.
