Srinagar, Aug 31: JK Police Public School, Bemina Srinagar, celebrated its Annual Sports Day with much enthusiasm and energy, showcasing the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sporting culture. The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including the Chairperson of J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (JKPWAA), Professor Rasmita Das Swain, Inspector General of Police Sujit Kumar, IPS, Principal Snigdha Singh Chauhan, and Vice Principal Ms. Pragati Pandey.

The day was filled with a variety of sports events that saw active participation from students across different grades, highlighting their athletic skills and team spirit. The presence of the esteemed guests made the occasion even more special and inspiring for the students.
In their addresses, all the dignitaries spoke on the importance of sports in a student’s life, emphasizing how participation in sports contributes to the overall development of an individual. Professor Rashmi Dashighlighted the value of sports in building character, resilience, and teamwork. She encouraged students to actively participate in sports, alongside their academic pursuits.

IGP Sujit Kumar also stressed the significance of physical fitness and its direct impact on mental well-being. He urged the students to embrace sports as a vital part of their daily lives, reminding them that a healthy body is key to a healthy mind.

Principal Snigdha Singh Chauhan, while addressing the gathering, reiterated the school’s dedication to promoting sports and physical education. She encouraged teachers to continuously motivate students to engage in sports, as it plays a crucial role in their growth and development. She further expressed her gratitude to the entire sports faculty for their relentless efforts and dedication, acknowledging that their teamwork and commitment were pivotal in making the event a grand success.

Vice Principal Pragati Pandey echoed these sentiments, calling on teachers to inspire and support students in all types of sporting events. She emphasized that participation in sports is not just about winning but about building life skills that will serve students well in the future.

The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks. The Annual Sports Day at J.K. Police Public School, Bemina Srinagar, was a resounding success, reflecting the school’s ongoing commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals through sports and physical education. (KNS)
