Srinagar, May 12: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian called on Advisor to the Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar in the civil secretariat here.
The delegation was led by Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi who apprised the advisor in detail the issues faced by the people across Kashmir, a spokesperson of the Anjuman said in a statement.
The spokesperson said that scores of the deputation had met Anjuman’s president and “as a main institution and stakeholder, Anjuman Sharie felt its responsibility and decided to apprise the LG administration about public issues”.
The delegation submitted a 6-page memorandum to the Advisor which highlighted “the district-wise issues including upgradation of Aga Syed Yousuf Memorial District Hospital Budgam, increase in Hajj seats for J&K connecting Budgam town with Sukhnag Water Scheme, up-gradation of Degree College Budgam, sanctioning of Degree College for Women in Budgam, macadamizing Bemina via Khomeini Chowk Srinagar road, concern of Dal dewellers in Rakh-e-Arth, up-gradation of health center in Zadibal, Srinagar, special bus service on Fridays to Imam Bara Hassanabad Rainawari, renaming Degree College Magam to Shaheed Zahoor Ahmed Mir Memorial Degree College Magam, drinking water schemes in Sonwaro block of Bandipora, approval of secondary school at Shiganpura Sonawari in Bandipora, up-gradation of school in Rakh Shilwat in Bandipora, public health centers in villages Khanpeath, Harihara, drainage system in entire Sonawari block, realignment of bridge proposed between village Rambailgargh and Khanpeth in Tehsil Pattan of Baramulla”.
The Advisor to LG assured the delegation that the issues highlighted will be taken for resolution with relevant departments at the earliest, the spokesperson said.
