Rajouri, Aug 16: Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, inaugurated two newly constructed guest houses, a dormitory, and a dining hall at the Shahdara Sharief Ziyarat Complex in Rajouri. The guest houses are named after Hazrat Fatima-tu-Zehra (AS) and Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (RA).
The event was attended by Chief Executive Officer of the Waqf Board Zaheer Ahmad Kaifi, Executive Officer District Rajouri Abdul Qayoom Mir, Maulana Farooq Ahmad, and other local dignitaries. The new facilities were completed in record time, a response to the growing needs and demands of the shrine’s visitors.
“A few months ago, the foundation was laid for these works, and I personally ensured that they were completed within the fixed target,” Dr. Andrabi stated. She emphasized that the Waqf Board, with the support of the local community, has been upgrading facilities at Sufi shrines across Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Andrabi also highlighted the Waqf Board’s ongoing commitment to developing infrastructure throughout the region, noting that significant decisions have been made to enhance facilities in the near future. “We work tirelessly as a dedicated team to fulfill the responsibilities of this pivotal institution in line with the aspirations of the people,” she added.
