Anantnag Police Seize 14 Vehicles Involved in Illegal Mining

Anantnag, April 13: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Anantnag Police achieved a significant success during the intervening night of April 12/13.

A police team from Police Post Dialgam, while conducting naka checking at Larkipora Bridge, intercepted and seized 14 vehicles involved in illegal mining activities. The seized vehicles include 08 tippers and 06 tractors, which were found transporting minerals without valid authorization.

In this regard, two cases have been registered at Police Station Anantnag under FIR No. 97/2026 and FIR No. 98/2026.

Further investigation into the matter is in progress.

Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to take strict action against individuals involved in illegal mining and urges the public to cooperate in maintaining law and order.
