Amit Shah chairs security review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday chaired security review meeting in New Delhi to assess the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi and other senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, intelligence agencies, and security forces.

In previous meetings, Shah has stressed a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and called for enhanced coordination between central and state security agencies.

This meeting was convened just a day after a terror attack in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, which claimed the life of ex-serviceman Manzoor Ahmad Wagay and left his wife and niece injured. The attack, which took place in Kulgam, has sent shockwaves through the region, prompting authorities to reassess security measures.
