Amid inclement weather, Govt likely to extend winter vacation in Kashmir

Amid inclement weather, government is likely to extend winter vacation for schools till March 5 in the Kashmir division.

Speaking exclusively with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Education Minister, Sakina Itoo said that the government will hold a meeting in this regard tomorrow.

“Keeping in view the prevailing weather conditions, we are going to hold a meeting tomorrow regarding the extension of winter vacations for schools in Kashmir division,” Itoo said.

The minister further said keeping in view the health and safety of students, they will take a decision accordingly

“If weather conditions do not improve, we may consider five days extension in vacation for primary level classes and in case there is more snowfall, we will consider extending the vacation till March 5 for all classes,” she said—(KNO)
