Srinagar, Sep 04: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday submitted his nomination papers for the Chanapora assembly constituency. He was accompanied by a large contingent of workers, supporters and prominent party leaders.
After filing his nomination papers, Bukhari urged the electorate to vote for him and support his vision for transforming Chanapora through extensive infrastructure development and various initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of its residents. He reiterated that the Apni Party is contesting these elections independently, neither seeking nor offering support to any other party.
According to a party statement issued here, an impressive roadshow, consisting of hundreds of vehicles, was organised by the workers and supporters of the Apni Party, making its way through Lal Chowk and surrounding areas en route to the Returning Officer’s office at the SMC office in Srinagar.
After filing his nomination papers, Altaf Bukhari appealed to people to vote for him and support his vision for a transformative change in the Chanapora constituency. “I request the people of Chanapora to give me their vote and support so that I can implement my vision for the transformative development and prosperity of this constituency. I assure you that I will not let you down. This constituency is my home, and I have both the will and the potential to ensure positive and transformative change here, with widespread infrastructure development and a range of initiatives aimed at the economic prosperity of the people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Apni Party President extended his warm greetings to the Muslim community as the auspicious month of Rabi-ul-Awal begins.
In his message, Bukhari said, “Rabi-ul-Awal, the third month of the Islamic calendar, holds great significance in the history of mankind, as our beloved Prophet (SAW) was born during this month. His birth was a blessing to humanity, as the Prophet (SAW) was sent as a messenger to all of mankind. I extend my greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly to our Muslim brethren, on the commencement of this revered month.”
