Altaf Bukhari elected Apni Party president

Srinagar, March 10:  Altaf Bukhari has been declared the winner of the Apni Party’s presidential elections in the absence of any other contestant.
The party’s founder will be holding the second term as party president for another three years.
According to a press statement issued here, the Convener of Apni Party’s Election Board Vijay Bakaya on Saturday declared Bukhari unopposed winner of the presidential contest.
In this regard, Bakaya issued a notification, which reads: “The details from both election sub offices —Srinagar and Jammu — certify that Altaf Bukhari wins the party’s presidential election unopposed. Thus, he is declared the party president for the 2nd tenure”.
Pertinently, Altaf Bukhari completed his first tenure as party president on March 8, 2023. His second term will end on March 8, 2026.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah returned from Umrah, received rousing reception
Srinagar, Mar 10: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and the Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah was accorded a rousing welcome in Srinagar on his return from Umrah. 
General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Senior leader Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Mubarak Gul, Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi, Ali Muhammad Dar, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, and number of district functionaries were also present on the occasion. 
Later Dr. Farooq Abdullah offered Friday Congregational prayers at Aasar-e-Sharief, Dargha, Hazratbal. Political Advisors Mushtaq Guroo, and Mudassar Shahmiri accompanied him on the visit.
