Srinagar, Oct 18: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and In-charge Eidgah Constituency Mohammad Khurshid Alam on Friday presided over a meeting of Habba Kadal unit, where he highlighted the importance of grassroots engagement in addressing the concerns of the community.
The meeting was organised and led by Arif Laigaroo state secretary and in-charge Habba Kadal, who welcomed attendees and highlighted their collective efforts, the party said in a statement issued here.
During the meeting, Alam praised the vision and leadership of the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, saying, “Her guidance will undoubtedly propel the party and its members toward becoming a more effective voice for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
He commended the dedication of the constituency’s colleagues and urged them to remain steadfast in mitigating the suffering of the populace by actively highlighting their day-to-day issues.
To enhance the party’s vibrancy, Alam directed the initiation of specific measures immediately, stressing the importance of robust grassroots initiatives.
He also called upon the constituency in-charge to expedite the formation of Mohalla committees, which will play a crucial role in strengthening local governance and representation.
Arif Laigaroo expressed gratitude to all participants for their unwavering support and hard work, acknowledging Alam’s initiative to hold constituency-centric meetings as a vital step for the party.
“Our unity and commitment are essential in addressing the needs of the people,” he said.
