Srinagar, Oct 22: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, has reached a significant milestone within one year of launching Airtel 5G Plus.
The company proudly announced that it now serves over 0.9 million unique 5G customers in the picturesque region of Jammu & Kashmir. Notably, Airtel 5G Plus is now available throughout all districts in the state, just 12 months after its launch.
Airtel’s 5G network has extended its reach across all districts and union territories in the country, with particular emphasis on making its services accessible in every corner of Jammu & Kashmir.
From the breathtaking Dal Lake and the serene valleys of Kashmir to the remote villages of Ladakh and the sand dunes of Nubra Valley, Airtel’s 5G coverage continues to expand rapidly, ensuring that even far-flung border areas are connected to the digital superhighway.
Adarsh Verma, COO of Jammu & Kashmir at Bharti Airtel, expressed his delight, saying, “As the pioneers of high-speed 5G technology in the state, we are thrilled to be a vital part of our customers’ lives. We extend our gratitude to our 0.9 million customers for embracing the Airtel 5G Plus network. Our commitment to cutting-edge 5G technology and customer satisfaction has made our 5G network the most extensive, fastest, and most reliable in the state, covering all 22 districts.”
Over the past year, Airtel has showcased its leadership in 5G innovation through various transformative use cases that have improved how customers live and do business.
This includes the establishment of India’s first private 5G network at the BOSCH facility in Bengaluru and a partnership with Mahindra & Mahindra to transform its Chakan manufacturing unit into India’s first 5G-enabled auto manufacturing facility. Airtel has also recently introduced Airtel Xstream Air Fiber, India’s first wireless home Wi-Fi service powered by Airtel 5G Plus, in Delhi & Mumbai,
