The accident, which occurred when a Maruti Swift veered off the road near Daksum, resulted in the deaths of Imtiyaz Rather (45), Afroza Begum (40), Reshma (40), Areeba Imtiyaz (12), Aniya Jan (10), Abaan Imtiyaz (6), Musaib Majid (16), and Mushail Majid (8). The victims were residents of Kishtawar.
