Srinagar, April 11: Ravinder Pandita, President of the All-India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) and Chairman of the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd), was felicitated by Anjuman-e-Shia Sherian’s esteemed religious leader, Aga Syed Al Safvi Al Mosvi, in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards promoting peace and harmony through sustained interfaith dialogue in the conflict-affected Kashmir Valley.
A statement said that the felicitation took place during the annual interfaith dialogue organised by the Anjuman, where Pandita has played a key role in fostering communal understanding and encouraging unity among diverse faith communities. On the occasion, Aga Al Safvi presented Pandita with a recently released book on interfaith dialogue, acknowledging his valuable engagement in the cause. The event was graced by the presence of prominent debater and speaker Muntazir Mehdi, along with several other dignitaries. “We look forward to more such dialogues aimed at confidence-building, which will pave the way for the rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandit community in the Valley. The responsibility lies with the majority community to accommodate minorities in this Muslim-majority region,” said Pandita, reiterating the importance of inclusive dialogue for sustainable peace.
