Advanced data analysis skill training begins at SKUAST-K

Srinagar, Nov 16: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) on Thursday launched a weeklong skill training programme on ‘Advanced Data Analysis Skills in Science and Business Management’ at the Benhama campus.
The training is organised by the Division of Social and Basic Sciences, Faculty of Forestry under the sponsorship of the Union Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.
Head, Division of Social and Basic Sciences, Dr Syed Naseem Geelani in the inaugural session provided a comprehensive overview of the training program and highlighted the significance of data analysis skills in contemporary sciences.
Program Coordinator, Dr M Iqbal Jeelani, talked about various aspects of the training program and the importance of data analysis skills. He discussed the program design, emphasizing its focus on providing hands-on training to the participants.
Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof SA Gangoo, who was the chief guest of the event, stressed the necessity of conducting such programs to promote data analysis skills, particularly among educated unemployed youth.
The inaugural event was attended by all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Faculty of Forestry, as well as participants from different fields.
