Jammu, Jan 25: Advocate Daleep Kumar on Thursday joined the National Conference in the presence of the party’s Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here.
Welcoming Daleep Kumar into the party, Gupta said, “The National Conference is a mass movement that has all along stood for the just cause of the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and strived for development and progress of the state with a sense of commitment.”
He hoped that with the joining of Daleep Kumar, the party would be further strengthened at the grassroots level. “A strong National Conference is a key to steer Jammu and Kashmir to peace, progress and development besides meeting the challenges confronted to the state,” he added.
Advocate Kumar pledged to carry forward the mission of the National Conference in “transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a peaceful and progressive state” with devotion and dedication.
Others present on the occasion included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Provincial Secretary, Abdul Gani Malik Zonal President Udhampur Reasi and former minister, Raja Rafiq and others.
