Srinagar, Mar 16: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir VK Bidhuriexpressed confidence in the administration’s readiness for the upcoming LokSabha elections, anticipating a remarkable turnout.
Speaking at the sidelines of the 3-Day Exhibition & Conference of the Government of India’s GI-Mahotsav, Bidhuri assured that meticulous preparations have been made to ensure a smooth electoral process.
In a recent meeting with the Election Commission of India (ECI), Bidhuri highlighted the comprehensive report on election preparations presented by the administration, which garnered a positive response from the commission. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to facilitating a conducive environment for voters and ensuring their active participation in the democratic process.
Bidhuri also underscored the significant improvements in electricity supply across the valley, attributing them to the discontinuation of crude electric gadgets by consumers. He reassured the public that efforts are concentrated on providing uninterrupted power supply during crucial hours, particularly during Ramadhan, including Iftar and Sehri.
Notably, the Election Commission of India on Saturday afternoon announced the schedule of LokSabha elections which will be held in five phases.
