Jammu, Feb 21: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed, J&K, Anand Jain, visited JKAP 8th battalion Miran Sahib Jammu to take review of the functioning of the battalion.
On his arrival, the ADGP was presented Guard of Honour by a contingent of JKAP 8 th battalion accompanied by DIG Armed Jammu Vinod Kumar, the ADGP Armed conducted thorough inspection of all the battalion establishments including administrative block, Barracks, Mess, Kot, MT Fleet, Canteens, Stores and the Battalion premises.
On the occasion, while addressing the Darbar of personnel, the ADGP gave a patient hearing to the issues put forth by the personnel, on spot instructions were imparted to the officers for timely redressal of the grievances. The Darbar was held to take firsthand account of the problems faced by the personnel concerning to their Welfare and other Service matters.
During his address, the ADGP appreciated the efforts of officers and officials of the battalion for performing their assigned duties with dedication, devotion. The ADGP stressed the officers to maintain cleanliness and conduct cleanliness drives regularly around the battalion area to maintain hygiene. It was also impressed upon the concerned commandant to get the medical examination of all the personnel conducted in order to improve the overall health standards.
Stressing upon the personnel for more physical activity at battalion level, the ADGP directed the Officers to restart PT, Refresher courses with emphasis on New Criminal Laws (NCL), Outdoor trainings of personnel to make them physically fit in order to improve their overall physical strength to deal with the challenging situations
