Srinagar, Sep 01: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam Akram Ullah Tak on Friday convened a meeting regarding the launch of Ayushman Bhava – a four-month campaign from September 01 to December 31, 2023 in the district.
The meeting was called on the direction of the Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, UT of J&K. “The main motive of the campaigns is to ensure optimum delivery of all state-run health schemes to every intended beneficiary including those in the last mile,” the meeting observed.
Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Sabha, Ayushman Mela and Ayushman Gram are some of the activities planned under the programme. At the outset, Dr Mohammad Ayoub, Chief Medical Officer, Budgam gave a detailed presentation of the Ayushman Bhava, indicating a focused and time-bound approach to initiate 100% saturation in coverage of health schemes and healthcare on mission mode.
The meeting was attended by inter-departmental stakeholders – Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Budgam, Chief Education Officer, Budgam, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Budgam, DPMU/NCD/ABPMJAY Unit, Budgam, the representative from Social Welfare, Rural Development and Tribal Affairs.
“The overarching aim of the Ayushman Bhav campaign is to ensure comprehensive and saturation coverage of all health schemes, leaving no eligible beneficiary without access to vital healthcare services,” the meeting underscored. “By combining awareness campaigns, medical camps, and inclusive strategies, the initiative seeks to bridge the gap and extend healthcare benefits to the last mile.”
