Active Members Convention:BJP Kupwara celebrates Modi govt’s achievements 

Srinagar, Apr 09: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kupwara Unit on Wednesday organised an Active Members Convention, to highlight “unparalleled achievements” of the BJP-led Central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially over the past decade. They party also discussed the expanding organisational base and called for unity, dedication and outreach.
The convention was chaired by District President Kupwara Syed Mohmmad Rafiq Shah and attended by senior party functionaries, constituency presidents, booth-level workers and dedicated BJP karyakartas from across Kupwara, according to a statement issued here.
In his address, former District President Mohd Shafi Mir spoke about the foundation of the BJP in India and its early struggle, highlighting the commitment, sacrifices and dedication of the party leaders and workers. He emphasised how the party’s ideology of “Nation First” and its firm stand on integrity and governance paved the way for the BJP’s historic rise across the country.
Former District President Javid Qureshi applauded the Central government’s “transformative” initiatives like PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission and Digital India, highlighting their positive impact on the people of Kupwara. He discussed preparations for upcoming political and public outreach programmes, implementation of Central government welfare schemes in the region.
Addressing the gathering, National Executive Member G M Mir emphasised party unity, social harmony and the importance of remaining connected with the public at the grassroots level. He encouraged youth participation and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the development and progress of Kupwara district.
District President Syed Mohd Rafiq Shah, in his address, appreciated the efforts of the Organising Committee and acknowledged the “tireless contribution” of all workers and volunteers who made the convention a success.
Shah highlighted landmark initiatives like Digital India, Swachh Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat, asserting that these programmes have laid the foundation for the dream of Viksit Bharat, developed and globally respected India.
