Srinagar, Mar 18: The Facebook page belonging to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jammu and Kashmir, which was operational until December 28, 2023, has been compromised by hackers, the bureau said on Monday.
The incident has been reported to the Cyber Police Station in Jammu, the ACB said in a statement, adding that the perpetrator behind the hack is now using the compromised page to disseminate unwarranted and malicious content with harmful intent.
In light of this security breach, all Facebook users are strongly advised to refrain from accessing the compromised page, the statement said.
The ACB warned that interacting with the content posted by the hacker may pose risks to user privacy and security. “For official updates and information from the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Jammu and Kashmir, users are directed to visit the verified and secure page at https://www.facebook.com/ACBJnK. This current page remains unaffected by the cyber attack and continues to provide authentic updates from the ACB J&K,” it said.
