Srinagar, Apr 05: Hour after two associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organisation managed to escape from police custody in Baramulla, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed both were arrested after utilising technical & human intelligence inputs.
A police officer told Rising Kashmir that both accused Maroof Nazir Soleh of Kanlibagh and Shahid Showkat Bala of Banglowbagh have been re-arrested from Old Town Baramulla.
“The duo had managed to escape during Sehri time from the police station. Case has already been registered under relevant sections of law, and investigation is underway,” he said.
Throughout the day, the joint teams of security forces conducted searches in the entire Baramulla town.Surprise checkings were intensified, CASO’s were launched at multiple places as part of a trap plan.
The officer said during the course of the investigation, Baramulla Police collected the CCTV footage of the incident. Police after utilising technical & human intelligence and after hectic efforts both the accused have been arrested this evening from old town Baramulla,” he said.
