Jammu, July 22: Expressing concern over poor road condition and unscheduled power cuts, the Apni Party Spokesperson and General Secretary of the Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya on Monday criticised the “ignorance” of the concerned authorities towards the overdevelopment of ward number 71 in Tawi Vihar, Sidhra.
As per a press release, Abhay said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has failed to do justice to the people in Tawi Vihar as the area remains neglected regarding basic amenities that are to be provided by the concerned government departments.
He said the condition of roads, erratic power cuts, and irregular drinking water supply system have emerged as a major concern for the residents of Tawi Vihar. “The people have moved from post to pillar so that they could be heard, but they were not given heed by the authorities,” he claimed.
Bakaya pointed out the potholes in the roads, water logging which have become a breeding ground for mosquitoes during the monsoon season, irregular drinking water and unscheduled power cuts that have put normal life out of gear. He demanded immediate redressal of the issues, and proper repair work of the road at ward number 71, Tawi Vihar in Sidhra.
The Apni Party leader said that the locality is suffering because of no elected representative in Sidhra after the completion of the tenure of the elected representatives in the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
